Stay Flexible to Prevent and Relieve Back Pain

Our bodies require a balance of strength and flexibility to function optimally.  Any imbalance in the system can eventually lead to pain or injury somewhere.  It may seem like an ache or painful area came about suddenly, but it has likely been developing gradually over time and finally reached a threshold point that triggered pain.

Often times, the place where we feel pain is not the actual source of the problem.  Knee pain may be related to weakness or imbalances through the hips or from limited mobility through the foot and ankle.  Likewise with back pain, muscle imbalances through the core or tissue restrictions surrounding the hips and pelvis can lead to back pain.  Sometimes the solution is as simple as stretching and releasing tissue tension.
